interior design
Work as an independent interior designer began in London a decade ago. Narrative and a multidisciplinary approach play leading roles in all my design work.

House of Pineapple began in London under the name Maison Rey.
Now based in Melbourne designs all come under the brand name House of Pineapple.
Combining art with interiors, H.O.P offers interior statements for alternative contemporary modernists.
-
Creating interiors allows immersion into different emotional environments through spacial exploration.
Designs feature illustrations which are usually drawn large scale in pencil before creating patterns. Designs also feature photographic work.
The Ray Monday logo celebrates mistakes made and the hundreds of scribbled design drawings scrawled on hands, napkins, walls, often forgotten but very much part of the design process.
A new range of H.O.P wallpapers will be launched in 2024.

Textural expression plays an important role in Ray Monday’s daily life.

Designing wallpapers starts with a concept, followed with mixed media visual narratives which are interwoven into the patterns.
The collection Doomsday Prep’ includes a range of designs addressing global warming, human fragility and the collective power of man. Some wallpapers are in stock in our workshop, others are pre - order.
Being a wallpaper designer isn’t just about creating beautiful patterns, for me it offers a platform to be a storyteller.
Wallpapers from this collection come in 10m rolls.
The new House of Pineapple site will be launching in 2024.
